Excited to introduce the CARBON 4 SOIL QUALITY project, addressing key challenges in reducing CO2 levels and preserving soil quality for a sustainable future.
Our mission is to establish scientific foundations for carbon sequestration using innovative “CARBON FARMING” techniques.

Project Highlights:
Developing a comprehensive “Toolbox for carbon farming,” featuring soil reference values, carbon analysis methodologies, farming guidelines, business models, and recommendations for carbon credit schemes.
Transnational action plan for testing across diverse Mediterranean climates, studying various climate zones, erosion conditions, and soil types.
Focused on transnational cooperation to drive impactful change and promote sustainable soil management practices.

Impact and Goals:
Enhancing soil organic matter to improve plant nutrients, increase water storage, and support soil biodiversity.
Aligning with European Green Deal climate actions, contributing to EU policies from 2023-2030.
Positioned to become a flagship example of sustainable soil management in the Euro-MED territory and showcase for the EU.
