MQ is a Netherlands-based foundation founded in 2017. We are focused on land restoration in the MENA region within a larger agenda of climate change mitigation, carbon sequestration, and achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals applicable to our activities. We do this through a combination of deep knowledge of the region, engaging projects that are locally driven, and innovative planting technology that significantly reduces water use and improves seedling survival rates. As land restoration takes time, we invest strongly in local awareness-raising and capacity building to ensure our projects have lasting impact. We work with all age groups, including children, and pay particular attention to gender balance in our activities.
