For Love or Water (FLOW) CIC is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company dedicated to improving the health of the River Avon Special Area of Conservation (SAC). We are a community hub where individuals and organisations with a shared passion for the River Avon can make a difference.

We founded FLOW CIC in 2022 to support land managers, charities and businesses with river restoration, watercourse biodiversity net gain, fisheries and monitoring.

We reinvest 100% of profits into our own projects to protect and enhance the Hampshire Avon, which ranges from citizen science to river restoration design. Our employees take a market-rate salary, but the river is our only shareholder.

Do you need help with any of these?

River restoration scoping through to full CDM-compliant detailed design.
Freshwater fisheries and survey
Biodiversity Net Gain for rivers/streams and their floodplains, including River Condition Assessment, Feasibility, Detailed Design, and HMMP.
Beaver mitigation CL51 licenced
Crayfish survey (White-clawed and non-native). CL11 licenced.
Licenced drone pilot, producing hi-res base mapping, imagery and video
Spatial analysis using geographical information systems, ESRI ArcGIS.

We working with clients and projects that positively impact our natural world. We support our clients by delivering stand-alone work packages or slotting in with existing teams to fill gaps and upskill. Get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Much of our work is repeat business through fair and transparent pricing, although we do occasionally tender for projects.
