Grampians Central West Waste Recovery Resource Group’s mission is to reduce waste and maximize recycling and resource recovery. We are not your average government entity and provide a vital link between state, local governments and industry and are responsible for facilitating a coordinated approach to the planning and delivery of waste infrastructure and services in the Grampians region. Our ultimate mission is to support our region and Victoria more broadly to transition to a Circular Economy and transform the narrative where ‘waste’ is seen as a resource and reducing waste that goes to landfill.
We also work closely with schools and offer the ResourceSmart Schools program, a Victorian Government initiative. This free program helps schools embed sustainability by minimising waste, saving energy and water, promoting biodiversity and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
