We exist to shift biodiversity from an abstract risk to a measurable, manageable, and actionable reality, enabling companies to integrate nature-positive strategies into their core business models with confidence and credibility.

We are a small, global consultancy and our mission is to cut through the noise, demystifying biodiversity measurement and strategy with deep insight and scientific integrity. We are the leads for the Biological Diversity Protocol (BD Protocol) accounting framework which empowers corporations, municipalities, financial institutions, and policymakers with the clarity and confidence to make informed, responsible decisions that align with ecological reality.

Our Directors are Joël Houdet (Ph.D.), an internationally recognised expert on business and biodiversity who pioneered double-entry bookkeeping for biodiversity and GHG emissions, as well as Gabi Teren (Ph.D), a biodiversity specialist who has led several large global biodiversity footprint assessments.
Together they have advised more than 60 major companies and international organisations/governments over 10 years and undertake research, capacity building, policy analysis and advisory work in the governance and management of world’s natural capital, biodiversity and ecosystem services.
