We are designing an online marketplace through which UK farmers can sell internationally certified soil carbon credits and other natural assets by:
– Developing science and data-based protocols to show farmers how much the offset market will be willing to pay them if they change their practices to capture carbon or reduce their pollutants.
– If practices are adopted the platform markets the measured gains to the international corporate buyers to offset their pollutants or emissions.
– Using these protocols to simplify the route to market for the farmer.
– Using the protocols to inform farmers of the financial opportunities in using regenerative practices rather than destructive practices.
– Producing contracts that balance buyers’ needs, farmers’ willingness to commit, and transparent environmental gain.
