Today, 1.3 billion people rely on the livestock industry for their livelihoods and their food and nutrition security. However, it is the single biggest driver of human-driven methane emissions globally.
Methane is a potent greenhouse gas and air pollutant that has a much greater global warming effect than carbon dioxide. Experts agree that rapidly reducing methane emissions is one of the best steps we can take to tackle global warming and limit climate change.
