Airfix combines decades of climate finance and carbon project development expertise with a vision for a scalable Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS) market in Europe.

Airfix supports biogenic carbon emitters – such as biomethane, wood-fired co-generation or waste-to-energy plants – to develop and finance carbon removal and storage, giving investors the confidence to invest in BECCS while producing certified carbon removal credits, underpinned by significant emissions reductions.
We aim to remove 5,000,000 tonnes of CO₂e in 10 years.
By creating a cohesive ecosystem for BECCS projects, we simplify the complex value chain for biogenic emitters, providing investors with attractive opportunities for low-carbon investments and drive carbon finance into the BECCS market by working with carbon standards to produce certified carbon credits.

Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS) is a process that captures carbon emissions from organic material and stores this carbon geologically or in durable products. BECCS uses proven technology that holds significant potential in industries such as biomass or biogas plants, wastewater treatment plants and waste incineration plants.
