Ecopart is a pioneering company in the sourcing and development of projects with the potential for participation in the carbon market. In Brazil, from the beginning of 2000, Ecopart has been involved in the identification and development of projects that can generate emission reductions of Greenhouse Gases (GHG). The company has already advised over 120 (one hundred and twenty) projects in the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) market, in the Voluntary Reduction Market and in emission inventory of GHGs development. Ecopart has also contributed directly to the development and approval of 3 (three) baseline and monitoring methodologies for the quantification of emission reductions alongside the UNFCCC.
The company was created in Brazil in 2000 as Ecoinvest and was since restructured three times, changing its name to Ecoinvest Carbon (2004-2008), Ecoinv Global (2008) and, finally, Ecopart.
