Ecosphere+ was acquired by Abatable in April 2023.

Ecosphere+ was a leading provider of high-impact carbon credits, pioneering best-practice in carbon procurement and transacting over 45 million carbon credits since 2016. Ecosphere+ was part of the innovative Althelia Climate Fund, a 100 million euro impact investment fund with one of the world’s largest portfolios of high-impact forest carbon projects and a global reach from Sumatra to Guatemala, Peru to Senegal. Ecosphere+ was led by CEO Lisa Walker.

Its acquisition by Abatable is a strategic union of two mission-aligned organisations, combining Ecosphere+’s portfolio, experience and market expertise with Abatable’s digital solutions, knowledge platform and unrivalled project developer reach.
