For over 30 years, SYLVIS has pioneered environmental solutions through reimagining, researching, and realizing the value in residuals. SYLVIS is involved in all facets of residuals management: applied research, consultation and education, policy and practice, options assessment and development, and operational management.
At SYLVIS we specialize in developing beneficial use projects that deliver high value end-uses on a variety of land types. Through innovation and reimagining residuals, SYLVIS has reclaimed mineral and aggregate mines, created wetlands and wildlife habitat, improved the quality of marginal land, restored degraded grasslands, and improved soil productivity, all while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing carbon sequestration. We also create scientific knowledge, educate, and increase awareness of opportunities for residuals use in environmental stewardship.
