The Climate Defense Program is an independent pan-African agency mandated to evaluate and rate the efficiency of African states’ climate policies, in accordance with the Policy and Action Standard of GHG Protocol. The agency also develops dynamic maps of climate and investment risks to inform strategic decision-making, enhance transparency, and secure financial flows toward low-carbon development pathways.
It is also committed to fostering a climate knowledge economy in Africa by delivering high-level executive training programs for public and private sector leaders, aimed at strengthening the scientific, strategic, and sovereign ownership of climate action across the continent.

Le Programme de Défense Climatique est une agence panafricaine indépendante chargée d’évaluer et de noter l’efficacité des politiques climatiques des États africains, selon la méthodologie du Policy and Action Standard du GHG Protocol. Elle établit des cartographies dynamiques des risques climatiques et d’investissement, afin de guider les décisions stratégiques, renforcer la transparence, et sécuriser les flux financiers vers les trajectoires bas carbone.
L’agence s’inscrit aussi dans le développement d’une économie de la connaissance climatique en Afrique, en proposant des formations exécutives de haut niveau à destination des cadres dirigeants publics et privés, pour renforcer l’appropriation scientifique, stratégique et souveraine de l’action climatique sur le continent.
