EC4RURAL is a LIFE-2022-CET-ENERCOM project whose central idea is to alter the local relations paradigm by uplifting Energy Communities in 34 rural municipalities across Europe (22 in Galicia – Spain and 12 in Estonia).
EC4RURAL promotes to enhance relationships between regional and local authorities and Local Action Groups, to contribute to the Clean Energy Transition (CET) in Europe, and ensure all stakeholders are included. Citizens and local actors will be encouraged to participate in or benefit from CET processes led by Rural Energy Communities (REC), utilizing renewable energy production and the sale of surplus energy.
