Since 2006, The Spanish CO2 Technology Platform (PTECO2) has been an initiative promoted by the private sector, research centers and Spanish universities in order to contribute to the development and implementation of Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage Technologies (CCUS, CAUC in Spanish) in Spain. Its activities are partially financed by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and brings together representatives of this ministry, as well as the Spain’s Ministry for the Ecological Transition (MITECO) and Ministry of industry, trade and tourism (MINCOTUR).
