OBI Capital is the investment arm of the Fundacion Ocean Born. OBI Capital focuses on investing in companies whose products, services and technologies have a positive impact on planetary health. We invest in and partner with founders and management teams in order to accelerate their growth, impact and financial returns, both with capital and by applying our backgrounds and networks.

We focus on four investment themes: the energy transition, clean transport and logistics, sustainable production and consumption, and enabling technologies.

OBI Capital aims to measure and report on the impact of its investee companies, and focuses on reducing and/or mitigating greenhouse gas emissions, reducing waste and pollution, enhancing biodiversity and habitats, and improving fresh water cleanliness and access. We have a pragmatic impact approach that recognises the importance of intentionality, additionality, and clearly defining, measuring and verifying our impact targets. We work with our portfolio companies to enhance their internal impact delivery and measurement frameworks.
