Our thinking :
ESG got initiated right in 2005 in the background of the report by UN Global Compact named “Who Cares Wins”, an idea of connecting financial markets to the changing business and corporate world.
ESG criteria are a set of standards for a company’s operations that socially conscious investors use to screen potential investments. Environmental criteria consider how a company performs to protect nature, carbon footprint. Social criteria examine how a company manages relationships with employees, suppliers, customers, and the communities where it operates. And Governance criteria deal with a company’s leadership, executive pay, audits, internal controls, and shareholders’ rights.
