The Group traces its history back to the 1820s when G Milbank & Son, a builder and undertaker, was first established in Howe Street, near Chelmsford, Essex.
Whilst today we are no longer builders or undertakers, different generations of Milbank’s have developed various businesses that are connected with the construction industry; ranging from precast concrete products and concrete crushing equipment, to self-off-load hauliers, off site manufacturing systems and even composting technology.
Today, the privately owned Group acts as an investment company, acquiring and investing in UK businesses. As a business with family values we look to the long term and are committed to retaining, nurturing and developing the businesses we invest in.
